ability-first – is a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive services and support to individuals (with or without developmental disabilities) and their families.  Services include our monthly “Awesome Mondays” life-skills program, the Housing Navigation Program, and the Parent Support Program.

CHEOCHEO – Programs and Health Info – As the only tertiary level pediatric hospital in Eastern Ontario, CHEO offers a complete range of health care services for children from birth through their 18th birthday. To find information on their clinical services and programs, as well as useful injury prevention and health information, a list is provided on this site.

C211ommunity Information Center of Ottawa – is the official local provider of information and referrals, lead organization and service provider of  211 Eastern Ontario.  To find any resource in the city or surrounding are visit this site.

Single DadsDad Central – Dad Central Ontario (formerly the Father Involvement Initiative – Ontario Network) works to provide relevant and well-crafted information for fathers and for individuals, agencies, and programs working with fathers.  This site contains information, videos and links to resoures for dads.

Help With FurnitureHelping With Furniture – a volunteer-run charitable organization that provides gently-used furniture and household goods to families and individuals in need.  Whether you have furniture to donate or are in need this is a good place to start.

KidsNatalia McPhedran – Parenting Coach – as a Certified Coach, Natalia can show you new ways to communicate with your children that will have a lasting impact on your parent/child bond. Natalia has participated at one of our informations sessions and we look forward to having her join us at future events.

Parent Education Calendar (a searchable directory of parent education events, professional training events for those working with families and community support groups for parents).  SPFS also posts upcoming events on this calendar.

SRDCSeparation and Divorce Resource Centre (Rebuilding Relationships Program) – Diane Valiquette and her team at the SDRC are able to provide services in a variety of areas.  If you aren’t sure what to do or where to go, meet with Diane to obtain some direction.

Straight Out Loud – Support given to the straight spouses and children that are left behind when a loved one comes out.
